Ted LeMier is the seventh of eight children born to Harlan and Irene LeMier. Originally from Oakes, ND, his family moved to Horace, ND and he graduated from West Fargo High School. He has worked jobs in various fields: service, retail, entertainment, and construction. Ted met his wife Susan while both were working in retail. They have been married for 27 years and have 4 children: Alex, Brenna, Claire, and Danielle.  Currently, Ted is the property manager of Sts. Anne and Joachim Church in Fargo, ND.

Ted entered into full communion with the Catholic faith through the RCIA program. During this time, Ted first learned of the diaconate. Even before formerly entering the Catholic Church, the Holy Spirit first prompted Ted to consider the diaconate when his wife said to him, “Maybe this could be for you?” In RCIA, Ted and his wife were urged to become active in Eucharistic adoration. They began making a holy hour every week. Ted began his discernment while being present before the Lord. He felt a real calling to serve the Lord in this capacity. He prayed for years and truly felt the Lord has answered his prayers and spoken to him both directly and through others.
