The Marriage Preparation Seminar, beginning Friday evening and lasting all-day Saturday, assists engaged couples to form a community of life and love. It is held throughout the year at two locations, Fargo and Grand Forks, and periodically at other locations. Two different seminars are offered.
Couples are encouraged to schedule their marriage preparation classes early. Please contact the Office of Marriage and Family Life with any questions.

For couples entering a second marriage or marrying later in life.
The issues facing couples that are entering marriage later in life are different or may be more complicated than those who marry younger. Such couples should check out the Marriage in Special Circumstances page or download the brochure (PDF).
In Fargo the seminar is held at The Pastoral Center, 5201 Bishops Blvd (see map below) and the program begins at 6:30 pm.
In Grand Forks is seminar is held at St. Thomas Newman Center, 410 Cambridge Street (see map below) and the program begins at 7:00 pm.
The program consists of activities, presentations, assignments, large group discussions and couple interaction. The cost to attend is $185.00 per couple, and includes presenter expenses, site rental, all materials, light breakfast, lunch and snacks. Lodging is your responsibility.
