Deacon Candidate Bruce Wehri

Bruce was born and raised on a ranch in Hebron, ND, attending St. Clement’s Parish, a country parish served by priests from Assumption Abbey in Richardton, ND. He attended the University of North Dakota and received a BS and MS degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked for Honeywell in Phoenix for 6 years before returning to North Dakota to work for John Deere in Fargo. As a father of eight with many grandchildren, family is very important for Bruce. There is never a dull moment. He has been growing in his faith over the years and been very active in parish life, catechizing both youth and adults in his Phoenix and Fargo parishes. He is a past Grand Knight of the Holy Spirit Council in Fargo.

Bruce has felt a call to the diaconate for many years, to serve, as his love for Jesus and the Church has deepened. God has sent many friends and pastors into his life asking him if he ever thought of becoming a deacon. He finally answered yes. Bruce has been very blessed in his life and wants to help bring the hope and peace of Christ to the world.
